The Alpha Communications® XOR501B2 outdoor remote intercom stations are designed specifically for applications requiring a call button with two (2) sets of independent contacts. Made from solid extruded aluminum, in a natural anodized finish, these stations are built to last. A high sensitivity 2.50" (64mm) mylar plastic cone speaker assures crisp, clear voice communication, and resists mold and mildew caused by dampness on paper cone speakers. The built-in plastic push-button provides two (2) independent contacts when depressed. This allows the remote station to activate two (2) separate signaling devices simultaneously. A high-impact ABS speaker grille protects the speaker.

The XOR501B2 is designed to work with many types of intercom systems, and mounts over our standard IH101 (flush) or OH700 (surface) back box.

When used with the SM201B, SM202, SM203B, SM205 (series), SM210 (series) or SM400 (series) master station(s), a model EC105 non-polarized capacitor must be installed into the XOR501B2 remote stations.

    Construction: Solid Extruded Aluminum faceplate.
    Controls: Replaceable plastic push-button wih self-wiping plated contacts and two (2) independant sets of contacts.
    Speaker/Mic: 2.50" (64mm) mylar speaker with voice frequency response, Model SK024.
    Mounting: Mounts flush to wall using IH101 flush back box or IH102 flush mounting ring. Can be surface mounted using OH700 surface back box (Steel painted Black).

    ARCHITECTS' AND ENGINEERS' SPECIFICATIONS
    The outdoor remote stations shall be Alpha Communications® model XOR501B2 or approved equal. Station faceplate shall be solid extruded aluminum in a natural anodized finish. A single momentary action, plastic push-button shall be provided for calling function. The push-button shall provide two (2) sets of independent contacts, with pigtail wire connections. The speaker/ microphone shall be a 2.50" (64mm) high-sensitivity mylar plastic cone type with excellent voice-frequency response. The speaker shall be protected by a high-impact ABS plastic speaker grille. Pigtails shall be provided for all wiring terminations. Station shall fit over a model IH101 (flush) or OH700 (surface) back box. The XOR501B2 station shall be installed with Scrulox type vandal-resistant screw fasteners, included with the station. Contractor shall supply a model S1 screwdriver to the building owner for future system maintenance.

    REQUIRED COMPONENTS:
    S1 Screwdriver (for system installation/maintenance).

    OPTIONAL COMPONENTS:
    EC105 NON-POLARIZED CAPACITOR. Required when using the XOR501B2 remotes with the SM201B, SM203B, SM205/SM210 series or SM400 series master stations.

    WIRING REQUIREMENTS:
    The XOR501B remotes can be a 6-wire type. There are two (2) wires for the 45 ohm speaker, and two (2) sets of two (2) wires for the dual pushbutton contacts. See individual system wiring diagram for more complete wiring information.
