5-Wire Apt. Handset Station. White Color. Mounts right on Surface of Wall or over Single Gang Electrical Back Box. Requires only 4 common (2 twisted pair) and 1 selective wire.

The TA205B handsets are designed to work as an apartment type handset intercom station and feature compact modern styling and advanced electronic design using dynamic speech elements and a reliable hookswitch. The TA205B is molded of high-impact ABS plastic in a fog white color. The TA205B requires only (5) conductors, #22AWG (4-common (2 twisted pairs) plus 1-selective). These attractive handsets easily surface mount right on the wall or over a single gang flush electrical back box (or plaster ring). A momentary push-button in the handset is used for door release.

ARCHITECTS' AND ENGINEERS' SPECIFICATIONS
Apartment handset stations shall be Alpha Communications®/Tektone model TA205B or approved equal, equipped with momentary action push-button for DOOR release operation. The speaker/ microphones shall be a dynamic high-sensitivity type with voice-frequency response. Screw terminal connections shall be provided for positive wiring termination. The handset station shall be molded of high-impact, flame retardant ABS plastic, in a fog white finish.

OPTIONAL COMPONENTS:


PK502B	Multi-Entrance Relay Adaptor (use 1 for each additional entry panel after 1st panel- maximum of 8 entrances). No additional transformer needed.
PK407A	Specialty Relay Adaptor. Used when connecting a door opener other than a 16VAC type to system. One (1) required for each building entry door opener.

WIRING REQUIREMENTS:
Apartment riser wiring shall be 4-common (2 twisted pair) #22AWG and 1 selective wire #22AWG, for each handset station connected to the riser cable. Add 1-#22AWG common wire if 2nd tone signal will be used with optional apartment pushbuttons, to signal apartments when visitor is at apartment door. See wiring diagram no.
