Tek-Door Master Station. Has built-in tone signal and voice amplifier. Has momentary door release pushbutton. Mounts right on wall surface or on optional desk cabinet.

The Alpha Communications®/Tektone (SM201B) Tek-Door series intercom system is an economical master/remote intercom for door entry or any other application requiring a single master and a remote intercom station.

The SM201B master station has a built-in amplifier and tone signal generator. It can easily mount right on the surface of the wall (over a single gang electrical 'gem' box), or onto an optional IH400A desk cabinet. A built-in momentary door release button allows hook-up to your own 16VAC or 24VAC door opener (depending upon transformer used). The optional PK407A door opener relay allows connection to other voltages and types of door openers.

A wide variety of remote stations is available in ABS plastic, extruded aluminum, stainless steel, polished brass and painted finishes.

ARCHITECTS' AND ENGINEERS' SPECIFICATIONS
The intercom system shall be Alpha Communications®/Tektone Tek-Door series, or approved equal. Master station (model SM201B) shall be surface mount (or desk mount) and shall include a built-in voice amplifier, electronic tone signal and momentary electric door release pushbutton. Master shall be powered by a 16VAC transformer (model SS102A or SS105B). Outdoor remote station shall be the model OR610 (or model OR610W). Indoor remote shall be model IR510B (or model IR100B) with appropriate backbox/housing. Remote station(s) (other than the IR100B) shall have built-in momentary call pushbutton and shall be constructed of plastic (or _____________).

Contractor shall furnish and install a (compatible) electric door release, and related power supply, if required.

Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical codes.

REQUIRED COMPONENTS:

S1	Screwdriver (for system installation/maintenance).
SM201B	MASTER STATION. One (1) maximum per system. Surface mounts right on wall. White ABS plastic finish.
SS102A	16VAC PIGTAIL TRANSFORMER. Required to power SM201B.

OPTIONAL COMPONENTS:

PK407A	SPECIALTY RELAY ADAPTOR. Used when connecting a door opener other than a 16VAC type to system. One (1) PK407A required for each building entry door opener.
EC105	NON-POLARIZED CAPACITOR. Required when using the OR502SS or IR100B remote stations.

BACK BOXES/HOUSINGS (Not Required for 'OR6' Remotes):

IH102	FLUSH MOUNTING RING. Use with IR510B or IR100B when flush mounting into sheetrock or wood paneled wall. Galvanized Steel finish.

WIRING REQUIREMENTS:
Run a 2-conductor twisted pair #22AWG cable from the SM201B master to the remote station, up to 250 feet. For runs up to 1,000 feet, use a 2-conductor (shielded) #18AWG cable. Run a 2-conductor #18AWG cable from the 16VAC transformer to the SM201B master up to 50 feet. Run a 2-conductor #18AWG cable from the SM201B master to the optional electric door opener, up to 50 feet. NOTE: the audio and door opener and transformer cables must be in separate jackets and not in the same cable jacket.
