The Alpha Communications®/S.T.R. Sentryvox(tm) intercom system is an internal intercom switchboard system that can be used in Luxury Apartment Buildings, Dormitories, Health Care Facilities, Hotels, Motels, Schools, Offices, Bowling Alleys, Supermarkets, and for Elevator Emergency use. Sentryvox is an advanced 2-wire system, with latching lamp annunciation, conversation privacy, and a host of optional features. Sentryvox™ switchboards are available to accomodate any number of remote handsets. Any individual remote handset can place a call (with visual indication) to the switchboard, can speak with the concierge station (in full communication privacy), can talk with another remote handset (if connected through the switchboard), can receive a call from (and speak to) a lobby panel, andcan activate a lobby electric door release. Model HT2009/2 handsets are available in White, Grey, Ivory or Brown and easily mount right on the wall or over a single gang flush electrical backbox. Handsets can be changed to a desk mount or flush wall type with the addition of a low-cost adaptor. All handset models can also be mounted over our optional AP001 or AP777 adaptor plates, when installing the handsets over an existing oversized flush intercom back box.

ARCHITECTS' AND ENGINEERS' SPECIFICATIONS
The intercom system shall be Alpha Communications®/S.T.R. Sentryvox(tm), or approved equal. At the master location(s) contractor shall furnish and install one model SB5xxx (xxx=number of zones in multiples of 10) desk switchboard station and the associated (SS050, SS100 or SS250) transformer. Master station(s) shall have built-in system amplifier and power supply, 10-switch selector modules, call-down tone signal, and flush mount (White) privacy handset. All selector switches shall be oversized type, with gold plated contacts, and custom annunciator markings, protected by plastic lens caps. At each remote location, contractor shall furnish and install one model HT2009/2 handset (specify color). Wiring to remote handsets shall be #22AWG (up to 2,000 feet) with 1-common and 1-selective wire per remote handset location. Remote handset(s) can be desk mounted using a model TZ1003 adaptor or flush mounted using a model UM1004 adaptor (specify color). Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical codes and shall wire as per manufacturer.

REQUIRED COMPONENTS:

SB5xxx	MASTER STATION. Use 1-2 per system (but only one at a time). Black/White Color. Sloped Desk Mount only. (Note: xxx=number of lamp indicators).
SS050	TRANSFORMER. One (1) required per system up to 120 latching lamp indicators.

HT2009/2xx REMOTE HANDSETS	One (1) required per apt. (xx=2 digit color suffix, WH=White, GR=Grey, IV=Ivory, BR=Brown), ABS plastic. Surface Mounts. May require the AP001 or AP777 series (or other type) adaptor plates.

OPTIONAL COMPONENTS:

WIRING REQUIREMENTS:
Apartment riser wiring shall be 1-common and 1-selective wire #22AWG (up to 2,000 feet), for all handset stations connected to the riser cable, back to the master Sentryvox™ switchboard loca- tion. Additional wiring required for lobby panel or video-intercom options. See system wiring diagram for more complete wiring information.
