Used with a variety of intercom and video- intercom stations, to provide a dry contact closure when the station is called. This can be used to drive a remote signal unit.

The Alpha Communications®/Tektone RY014B auxiliary tone signal relay is used in conjunction with various open-voice and handset apartment intercom and video-intercom stations. The relay will provide a momentary dry contact relay closure, when the station is called, to operate ancillary devices such as strobes, bells or lights for handicapped tenants. The RY014B is designed to be activated by the tone signal from our PK543, PK292A and PK205 series apartment intercoms, and it can also be activated by a 16VAC input. The RY014B relays are designed to easily mount inside the apartment stations, on a mini P.C. board. Connections are positive screw terminal type.

ARCHITECTS' AND ENGINEERS' SPECIFICATIONS
The auxiliary tone signal relay assembly shall be Alpha Communications®/Tektone RY014B or
equivalent. Relay shall operate from the system's tone signal, or a 16VAC primary voltage
source, and shall provide a 'Form C' dry contact relay output, as long as the source is present.
All wiring to relay shall be low-voltage Class II wiring, installed as per all federal, state, and local
electrical codes. Relay shall mount right behind the apartment station, in a suitable location.
