Basic Ceiling Speakers with 8 inch round high quality voice/music speakers. Available in 8-ohm and 25 or 70 volt types. The grille is made of non-glare White plastic.

The Alpha Communications® RB8S speaker is a cost effective ceiling speaker and baffle (grille) combination. The model RB8S features a high-quality 8 ohm public address and background music speaker, with excellent voice and music response. The RB8ST is the same as the model RB8S, but also includes a built-in 70 volt line transformer (see below for other models available). The RB8S series speaker is designed to be installed easily, into a standard suspended (hung) ceiling or sheet-rocked ceiling. All RB8S series speakers come with four (4) white head mounting screws each.

ARCHITECTS' AND ENGINEERS' SPECIFICATIONS
Ceiling speakers shall be Alpha Communications® model RB8S (or other model shown), or
approved equal. Speaker shall be provided with a White (UV stabilized) high-impact polystyrene
thermoplastic, non-glare grille (baffle). Grille (baffle) can be painted by customer if desired.
Speaker shall be a high quality 8-inch (8 ohm) speaker. Where indicated, speaker shall include
the required line transformer (suffix 'T') and/or built-in volume control (suffix 'V'). Contractor shall
observe all local and national electrical codes.

MODEL CONFIGURATIONS AVAILABLE
RB8S Basic Ceiling Speaker with 8-inch, 8 ohm speaker. No Line Transformer.

RB8ST Same as RB8S but with 70 volt line transformer instead of 8 ohm speaker.

RB8ST25 Same as RB8ST but with 25 volt line transformer instead of 70 volt type.

RB8SV Same as RB8S but with built-in volume control in center of speaker.

RB8STV Same as RB8ST but with built-in volume control in center of speaker.

HOUSINGS REQUIRED
IH008 Flush mounting ring (plastic). (1) required for each RB8S or RB8ST series speaker.

PH8-1 Protective enclosure (optional). Protects speaker from dust and ceiling residue and
helps to project sound from speaker.
TB8X Tee-Bar ceiling tile support bridge (optional). Use for weak or flimsy ceiling or
ceiling tiles. Helps distribute weight of speaker over a larger area. Used for safety
mounting of speakers. Fits into ceiling tile metal grid.
