The PK601A is used to power auxiliary signaling devices on a variety of intercom and emergency-call systems. It provides 24VDC filtered output at 1-Amp.

The Alpha Communications®/Tektone PK601A power supply is used with a variety of intercom and emergency-call systems, to power auxiliary signaling devices. The PK601A provides a filtered 24VDC output, rated at 1-Amp. It can also be used to provide a DC (silent) door opener output, from many of our popular apartment intercom and video-intercom systems. The PK601A operates on 16VAC (30VA) low-voltage Class II wiring, using our model #SS106 transformer. All PK601A connections are positive screw terminal type.

ARCHITECTS' AND ENGINEERS' SPECIFICATIONS
The power supply/control unit shall be Alpha Communications®/Tektone model PK601A, or
approved equal, and shall provide the 24VDC output required to power the system's auxiliary
signaling devices.


Low voltage wiring shall be used and positive screw terminals shall be provided for installation
wiring. The PK601A shall be mountable right to the surface of the wall or in the optional model
IH151N U.L.® Listed junction box cabinet. Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical codes.




REQUIRED COMPONENTS
SS106  16VAC PIGTAIL TRANSFORMER. One (1) required to power each PK601A, that is not
	being used to provide a DC (silent) door opener output.




OPTIONAL COMPONENTS
IH151N  U.L.® Listed steel junction box cabinet, in a painted Beige finish. Used to house and
	protect the PK601A and its wiring connections.
