The PK153 is used with the NC110N, NC150N, NC150R and NC200N series nurse-call and area of refuge systems, in addition to the PK151A control unit(s).

The Alpha Communications®/Tektone PK153 high priority control unit is used only with the NC110N, NC150N, NC150R and NC200N series nurse-call and area of refuge type systems and annunciators. The PK153 is used to provide a third level of signaling priority, for applications such as fire/heat/smoke detection and/or code call capabilities. One PK153 is required per system, in addition to the PK151A control unit(s) and 1 additional SS106 transformer is required. See the system wiring diagram for the additional wiring requirements. The PK153 is U.L.® Listed 1069. All PK153 connections are positive barrier screw terminal type.

ARCHITECTS' AND ENGINEERS' SPECIFICATIONS
The high priority control unit shall be Alpha Communications®/Tektone model PK153, or
approved equal, and shall provide the third level of signaling priority. The PK153 shall 
automatically override normal and low level emergency calls. The PK153 shall be U.L.® Listed
1069 to the latest standards

Low voltage wiring shall be used and positive barrier type screw terminals shall be provided for
installation wiring. The PK153 shall be mountable right to the surface of the wall or in the
optional model IH151N U.L.® Listed junction box cabinet. Contractor shall observe all local
electrical codes.


OPTIONAL COMPONENTS
IH151N  U.L.® Listed steel junction box cabinet, in a painted Beige finish. 
Used to house and protect the PK153 and its wiring connections.
