The Alpha Communications®/Tektone OR501B and OR510 series outdoor remotes are designed to surface or flush mount, and to provide two-way communication from a variety of types of intercom systems.

The OR501B remotes are 3-wire or 4-wire type and are normally used with systems such as the IR704B/PK724, 'EK' series music-intercoms, IR204C/PK543 and the SM103B/BD Tek-Trio masters. They can be converted into the OR510 2-wire type by the addition of a model EC105 non-polarized capacitor.

The OR510 remotes are 2-wire type and are normally used with systems such as the SM201B, SM203B, SM205/SM210 series, or the SM400 series.

ARCHITECTS' AND ENGINEERS' SPECIFICATIONS
Remote station(s) shall be Alpha Communications®/Tektone model OR501B or OR510 or approved equal. Station faceplate shall be solid extruded aluminum in a natural anodized finish. A single momentary action, plastic push-button shall be provided for call function. The speaker/ microphone shall be a 2.50" (64mm) mylar cone, high-sensitivity type with excellent voice-frequency response, and shall be protected by a Black ABS plastic speaker grille. Screw terminals shall be provided for wiring terminations.

NON-POLARIZED CAPACITOR. Required when using the OR501B remotes with the SM201B, SM203B, SM205/SM210 series or SM400 series master stations, for a 2-wire configuration, when the OR510 remotes are not available.

WIRING REQUIREMENTS:
The OR501B remotes can be a 2-wire, 3-wire or 4-wire type, depending upon system being used. The OR510 remotes are only a 2-wire type. See individual system wiring diagram for more complete wiring information.
