The NH908A is used with the HT2006 series S.T.R. handsets for handset to handset communication, when there is no door remote station involved.

The Alpha Communications® NH908A amplifier/power supplies are used with the S.T.R.™HT2006 series handset stations, for handset to handset communication only, without any door remote stations. It can also be used with the TW202 series visitor intercom systems. It provides intercom amplification and power to signal the electric buzzers in the HT2006 handsets. The NH908A operates on 16VAC (30VA) low-voltage Class II wiring. For permanent transformer mounting use our Model #SS106 (U.L. Listed) transformer. For plug-in transformer connection use our Model #SS146 (U.L. Listed) transformer. The NH908A amplifier/power supply is a compact P.C. board type, with self-stick mounting tabs and mounting holes for surface wall or other types of mounting. Connections are positive screw terminal type, using a barrier type terminal connector strip.

ARCHITECTS' AND ENGINEERS' SPECIFICATIONS The power supply/amplifier shall be Alpha Communications® model NH908A, or approved equal. Power supply shall operate from a 16VAC (30VA) U.L. Listed transformer (SS106 or SS146). All wiring to power supply/amplifier shall be low-voltage Class II wiring, installed as per all federal, state, and local electrical codes. Power supply/amplifier shall surface mount right to the finished wall and shall be installed in a suitable environment that is free from excessive dirt, dust, temperature, humidity, grease and water. Power supply/amplifier shall provide the intercom amplification and signaling power for proper system operation. For most secure installation, power supply should be installed into a lockable equipment cabinet/housing. Power supply/amplifier shall be installed a safe distance from any source of electrical interference.

OPTIONAL COMPONENTS:
PK407A Specialty Relay Adaptor. Used when an individual HT2006 selective call button is needed to trigger another signaling application other than an electric buzzer signal. One (1) required for each signaling application (per HT2006 button).
DV4 4-Zone Paging Adaptor. Used in addition to all other system components, when paging from one or more handsets is required. Has 10W of audio output split between 1-4 zones. Output of DV4 can be sent into one or more public address amplifiers for larger paging requirements. Each DV4 requires its own SS146 (40VA) transformer.

WIRING REQUIREMENTS: For NH908A type systems: wiring between handsets shall be 4-common #22AWG and 1 selective wire #22AWG, for each handset station connected on the system. For example, a system with 8- HT2006/10 handsets would require 4-common and 8-selective wires for a total of 12 wires (minimum). Add one more #22AWG wire for each of the other HT2006 pushbuttons will be used for any other signaling purposes, such as paging, etc. See the individual system wiring diagram for more complete wiring information.
