The Alpha Communications® IS407S (V.I.P. series) apartment intercom stations are designed specifically to minimize vandalism and tenant abuse. Made from .035" thick solid stainless steel, with oversized metal push-buttons, these stations are made to last. A high sensitivity 3.0"(76mm) speaker assures clear voice communication, as well as tone signal response. The IS407S is designed to easily surface mount right onto the finished wall surface, without a costly back box. Positive screw terminals makes these stations easy to wire. The advanced electronic design permits use in any size building. A wide variety of optional accessories is available to provide additional functions such as multi-entrance operation, post office door release, silent or delayed door release, etc. Stations are also available in custom sizes and wiring configurations.

Construction:	Solid .035" thick stainless steel faceplate.
Controls:	Individually replaceable solid metal pushbuttons wih self-wiping plated contacts. Identified for TALK, LISTEN and DOOR functions.
Speaker/Mic:	3.00" (76mm) with voice response. Also used for electronic tone signal.
Mounting:	Surface mounts right on finished wall, or with optional BP407S backplate connector.

ARCHITECTS' AND ENGINEERS' SPECIFICATIONS
The apartment intercom station shall be Alpha Communications® (V.I.P. series) model IS407S or approved equal. Station faceplate shall be minimum .035" solid stainless steel. Momentary action, oversized metal push-buttons shall be provided for TALK, LISTEN and DOOR functions. Button markings shall be imprinted right on the faceplate. The speaker/microphone shall be a 3.00" (76mm) high-sensitivity type with excellent voice-frequency and tone signaling response. Positive screw terminals shall be provided for wiring termination. Unit shall protrude from the wall less than 1.0 inch.

REQUIRED COMPONENTS:
PK543 Amplifier (1 per system)
DO-001 (or equivalent) Door Release
SS102A or SS105B 16VAC Transformer (for PK543)
Lobby Entry Panel (1 per building entry)
S1 Screwdriver (for installation/maintenance)

OPTIONAL COMPONENTS:

BP407S	Wall backplate. Used to more securely fasten stations or for uneven wall surfaces.
PK502B	Multi-Entrance Relay Adaptor (use 1 for each additional entry panel after 1st panel with a maximum of 8 entrances). No additional transformer needed.
PK407A	Specialty Relay Adaptor. Used when connecting a door opener other than a 16VAC type to system. One (1) required for each building entry door opener.

WIRING REQUIREMENTS:
Apartment riser wiring shall be 3-common #22AWG and 1 selective wire #22AWG, for each station connected to the riser cable. Add 1-#22AWG common wire if 2nd tone signal will be used with optional apartment pushbuttons, to signal apartments when visitor is at apartment door. See wiring diagram no.
