The DV4 is used with the HT2006 series S.T.R. handsets when one to four zones of paging are required. It can be used with or without an additional paging amplifier.

The Alpha Communications®/S.T.R.™ DV4 4-zone paging adaptors are used with the S.T.R.™HT2006 series handsets when one (1) to four (4) zones of paging is required. The DV4 has a built-in 10 watt audio amplifier, and can provide that power up to four (4) zones. Each zone can be paged from a different selective button on the HT2006 handset, and you can make a 5th button an 'ALL-CALL' button, which will activate all four (4) paging zones simultaneously. The DV4 has no music-muting capabilites built-in. If background music that will mute when a page takes place is required, you must provide a separate p.a. amplifier/tuner set-up with an amplifier that has auto-muting capabilities. If more power is required than 10 watts you can feed the output(s) from the DV4 into one or more higher powered paging amplifiers. The DV4 operates on 16VAC (40VA) low-voltage Class II wiring. Each DV4 requires a separate Model #SS146 (U.L. Listed) plug-in transformer. Do not power from the same transformer that is providing power for the intercom amplifier. These DV4 paging adaptors are designed to easily surface mount right onto the finished wall by means of customer supplied screws or the convenient plastic 'Din Rail' bracket supplied with each unit. Connections are positive screw terminal type. The DV4 must be used in addition to the NH908A or NH208TVU intercom amplifier.

ARCHITECTS' AND ENGINEERS' SPECIFICATIONS:
The paging adaptor shall be Alpha Communications®/S.T.R.™  model DV4, 
or approved equal.  Amplifier shall operate from a 16VAC (40VA) U.L. Listed 
transformer (model SS146). All wiring to adaptor shall be low-voltage Class II 
wiring, installed as per all federal, state, and local electrical codes. Paging 
adaptor shall surface mount right to the finished wall and shall be installed in a
suitable environment that is free from excessive dirt, dust, temperature, humidity, 
grease and water. For most secure installation, unit should be installed into a 
lockable equipment cabinet/housing. Unit shall be installed adjacent to the 
NH908A or NH208TVU amplifier, a safe distance from any source of electrical 
interference. The DV4 shall provide 10 watts of audio power, distributed to four 
(4) independant zones, and have an 'ALL-CALL' capability. Where required, 
contractor shall furnish and install a higher-powered public address (p.a.) 
amplifier, and all of the paging speakers required.
