The DO-412 electric door opener is a heavy duty mortise door opener that is used primarily in hollow aluminum door frames with a standard ANSI type cut-out.

The Alpha Communications® DO-412 electric door opener is a door opener that is designed to be used in hollow aluminum door frames, that have a standard ANSI type door opener cut-out (usually supplied by the door frame manufacturer). The DO-412 can be used in right-handed or left-handed installations, simply by turning the door opener upside down, during installation. The faceplate has square corners for a tight fit into standard ANSI door cut-outs. Dual adjustable screws on the door opener tongue mechanism allows the installer to quickly and accurately align the latch with the lock's tongue. When used with an 8-16VAC input, the DO-412 makes a buzzing sound, when activated. When used with a 3-6VDC input, the DO-412 activates silently.

<B>ARCHITECTS' AND ENGINEERS' SPECIFICATIONS
The electric door opener shall be Alpha Communications® model DO-412 or equal. Door opener
shall for use in a hollow aluminum door frame, with a standard ANSI type cut-out. Door opener
shall operate on 8-16VAC for buzzing operation, or 3-6VDC for silent operation. Door opener shall
be non fail-safe type, and shall be provided with positive screw terminal connections. Door opener
shall be finished in a natural anodized aluminum (or optional) finish.




WIRING REQUIREMENTS
Run a 2-conductor #18AWG cable from the DO-412 door opener, back to the door opener power
source connection (for runs up to 50 feet). Run a 2-conductor #16AWG cable from the DO-412
door opener, back to the door opener power source connection (for runs up to 150 feet).
