The DO-206 electric door opener is a surface type door opener that is designed to be used on doors with rim cylinder type lock mechanisms.

The Alpha Communications® DO-206 electric door opener is a heavy duty rim type door opener that is designed to be surface mounted on doors using rim type cylinder locks. The DO-206 can be used in right-handed or left-handed installations, simply by turning the door opener upside down, during installation. When used with an 8-16VAC input, the DO-206 makes a buzzing sound, when activated. When used with a 3-6VDC input, the DO-206 activates silently. NOTE: Many options are available for the DO-206 door opener, including different voltages. Alpha Communications® carries a complete selection of electric door openers for virtually any application. <SPECIFICATIONS
The electric door opener shall be Alpha Communications® model DO-206 or equal. 
Door opener shall be rim type, reversible, for use with doors that have a rim type 
door cylinder lock. Door opener shall operate on 8-16VAC for buzzing operation, 
or 3-6VDC for silent operation. Door opener shall be non fail-safe type, and shall 
be provided with positive screw terminal connections.


WIRING REQUIREMENTS Run a 2-conductor #18AWG cable from the DO-206 door opener, back to the door opener power source connection (for runs up to 50 feet). Run a 2-conductor #16AWG cable from the DO-206 door opener, back to the door opener power source connection (for runs up to 150 feet).
