The AP001 and AP001B adaptor plates are used to cover existing oversized flush backboxes from existing intercom stations. They are made of Steel and Painted White

The Alpha Communications® AP001 and AP001B adaptor plates are designed specifically to cover existing oversized apartment intercom back boxes and other existing wall openings.

Once the adaptor plate is affixed to the wall, you can install your open-voice or handset apartment intercom station or surface mount video-intercom station directly onto the adaptor plate.

We will gladly punch up to four (4) mounting holes (at no additional cost), to enable you to easily mount the plate over the existing back box. Simply provide us with a clear sketch showing the mounting holes you need. If you choose, mounting holes can be easily drilled right on the job-site. The model AP001 features a large (center) hole for wire access and six (6) pre-punched holes for mounting common apt. intercom stations and handsets.

Installation is quick, easy, attractive and eliminates the need for plastering and painting over the existing hole.

Model AP001B is the same as the AP001, except there are no mounting holes on the front of the faceplate. This enables you to punch or drill any special holes you may need, or to leave the faceplate totally blank.

Custom-sized adaptor plates are also available in aluminum, stainless steel, polished brass, or other painted finishes. Please send a detailed sketch to our sales dept., along with the quantity needed, for a prompt quotation.

Dimensions:	6.50"W (166mm) x 8.75"H (223mm) x 0.188"D (5mm).
Construction:  	Steel faceplate with painted  Decorator White epoxy coat finish.
Center Hole:   	1.00" diameter  (25mm) round hole for wire.
		            (No holes in faceplate of model AP001B).



     

ARCHITECTS' AND ENGINEERS' SPECIFICATIONS
The adaptor plates shall be Alpha Communications® Model AP001 (or AP001B) or approved
equal and shall be large enough to cover the area occupied by the previous intercom unit. The
adaptor plate shall be made of 22 gauge cold-rolled steel, painted in a Decorator White finish
epoxy paint. The adaptor plate shall be punched to cover the existing back box, and for the
apartment intercom (or video-intercom) station to be mounted onto the adaptor plate. If required,
contractor shall paint the adaptor plate to match the existing wall finish.
