5-Wire Digital-Dial Apt. Handset Station. White/Black Color. Used on 845 Series Digital-Dial Mounts right on Surface of Wall. Uses only 5-common wires.

The Alpha Communications®/Elvox™ 870/845 handsets are designed to work as an apartment type handset intercom station on the 845 series digital-dial apartment intercom system. They are available in a two-tone white/black color. These attractive handsets easily surface mount right on the wall or over a single gang flush electrical back box (or plaster ring). All 870/845 handsets feature electronic tone signaling, and (2) two momentary button switches. These switches can be used for door release, call-down to concierge station, or other signaling functions, depending upon system configuration.

ARCHITECTS' AND ENGINEERS' SPECIFICATIONS
The apartment handset station shall be Alpha Communications®/Elvox™ 870/845, in two-tone white/black color. Handset shall be surface mount. Each remote handset shall include a 3-digit encoder pin to send/receive its own unique 3-digit numerical code (000-799). Handset shall feature carbon transmitter type microphone for high-quality voice fidelity. Handset call tone shall be electronic type, programmable for steady or pulse. Handset shall include a door release (KEY SYMBOL) button and auxiliary (BULB) pushbutton.

WIRING REQUIREMENTS:
Apartment riser wiring shall be 5-common #22AWG (up to 2,000 feet), for all handset stations connected to the riser cable, back to the central equipment location. See system wiring diagram for more complete wiring information.
