The Alpha Communications®/Conford® 8310 magnetic door lock is a low cost single door unit that can operate on 12VDC or 24VDC (field selectable), and has 1,500 pounds of holding force. The 8310 can be used on out swinging doors or on inswinging doors (with the model TJ10 'Z' bracket required). The 8310 is U.L. and U.L.C. Listed, and has MOV surge protection and no residual magnetism when power is removed. When operated, the 8310 is fully silent.
NOTE: Many options are available for the 8310 magnetic lock, including Dark Bronze Anodized finish, Door Status Sensor, Lock Status Sensor, Cover Tamper kit, Tamper-Resistant Fastener kit, and Split Armature kit.
NOTE: An optional model 8320 dual door magnetic door lock is also available, with all of the same features as the model 8310, but for dual door operation. ARCHITECTS' AND ENGINEERS' SPECIFICATIONS
The magnetic door lock shall be Alpha Communications®/Conford® model 8310-US28 single
door (or 8320-US28 double door) or equal. Magnetic door lock shall be U.L. and U.L.C. listed and
shall have a minimum of 1,500 pounds of holding force. Door lock shall be fail-safe type, and
shall be provided with positive screw terminal connections. Door lock shall be finished in Natural
Anodized Aluminum (US28) finish (or optional Dark Bronze finish). Contractor shall provide the
model SS12C (or equivalent) DC power supply, required for proper system operation, as well as
all required ingress and egress switches required. Contractor shall install as per all local codes.
	
WIRING REQUIREMENTS
Run a 2-conductor #18AWG cable from the magnetic door lock, back to the door opener power
source connection (for runs up to 50 feet). Run a 2-conductor #16AWG cable from the magnetic
door lock, back to the door opener power source connection (for runs up to 150 feet).
