Our lowest cost key keepers. Available in Natural Anodized, Gold Anodized or other anodized finishes. Available in loose-key, built-in retractor reel, or push-button type.

The Alpha Communications®/Bommer® 5620 and 5621 series flush mount key keepers are designed specifically to mount in conjunction with aluminum lobby panels, directories, and mailboxes. The 5620 and 5621 series key keepers are U.S. Postal Approved, and are required when mailboxes are installed behind a locked entry door. This allows the Postman access to the mailboxes, without having to bother or wait for any of the building's tenants. These key keepers can be mounted vertically or horizontally and include the mounting bracket and screw ins for the installation of the postal lock (supplied by the local post office). The 5620 and 5621 series key keepers are designed to be flush mounted only. U.S. Postal regulations do not allow for a key keeper to be surface mounted. The 5620 series key keepers are either 'loose key' type or can be made with a built-in momentary push-button (suffix 'PB'). The 5621 series key keepers feature a key retractor (reel) with 24" chain.

 ARCHITECTS' AND ENGINEERS' SPECIFICATIONS
The key keeper shall be Bommer 5620 (or 5621) series, or approved equal, as supplied by Alpha
Communications®. Key Keeper shall be constructed of extruded aluminum. The key keeper
shall be ('loose key',' retractor reel' or 'push-button' type). The key keeper shall be flush mounted
into the finished wall surface. The finish of the key keeper shall match the finish of the mail
boxes, or lobby panel/directories (or as specified by the architect). The key keeper door hinge
shall be fully concealed to minimize vandalism and unauthorized opening. Contractor shall
install the key keeper as per all  U.S. Postal Service regulations. Key keeper shall include postal
lock mounting bracket and screws required. Key keeper shall be mounted (horizontally or
vertically).
