The Alpha Communications® model 318/14WJRG is a special video-intercom cable consisting of three (3) single #18AWG stranded copper conductors, (14) #22AWG stranded copper conductors (of which four of them are two twisted pairs) and one (1) RG59U type (75 ohm) coaxial cable, non-shielded, with an overall PVC jacket.

The three (3) #18AWG wires may be used for DC monitor power (and standby power if required). The other 14 wires can be used as the intercom common and selective wiring. A high-quality(all-copper) RG59/U coaxial cable is built-in to provide the video signal, with minimal interference or signal loss.

It can be used on a variety of different intercom and video-intercom systems. It is our most popular cable for apartment video-intercom type use.

The cable shown is designed to meet the latest requirements for 'CM' type cable. Other types and style, such as 'plenum' cable are available on a special-order basis. Contact our sales department for more information on other wire and cable types.
