![]() Mail Boxes - Directories - Key Keepers Our lowest cost USPS Approved Vertical style mail boxes. Available in groups of 3 to 7 compartments each and with optional push-buttons built-in to bottom of mail box. The Alpha Communications®/Florence 1250 Series vertical mail boxes are designed to be used in residential or commercial applications, requiring mail boxes that will be loaded from the front, and where mail will be removed from the front. Vertical mail boxes are usually used in small buildings, but can be used in almost any size building if wall space allows. Made of heavy-gauge aluminum, to meet or exceed postal regulations, these boxes are made to last long, and to look good. The 1250 series mail boxes are available in sizes of 3 to 7 compartments in each mail box unit, and meet all of the latest requirements of the USPS publication 17. The middle compartment in each unit is the 'master door' and is provided with an opening and mounting bracket (and installation hardware) for the installation of the postal lock (provided by the local post office). Each mail box door features a nameplate and number tab slot and a 5-pin cam type lock provided with two (2) keys each, with 1,000 possible key change combinations. Each compartment door is 5.5"W (140mm) x 15.0"H (381mm), and each compartment is 6.75"D(171mm), for large mail receiving capacity. All 1250 series mail boxes can be installed in a single or double height configuration. The 1250 series mail boxes are also available with built-in push-buttons installed into the bottom frame, for use with intercom or bell/buzzer systems. When the push-buttons are required, add the letter 'P' in front of the model number (P1250 series). The 1250 series mail boxes require a minimum wall depth of 6.75" (171mm). If your wall depth is less than 6.75" and at least 4.0" (102mm), you can semi-recess these mail boxes with the addition of the SR120 series semi-recess mounting frame(s). For installations requiring fully surface mount mail boxes, you can install these mail boxes with the addition of the SM125 series surface mounting frame(s). All SR120 and SM125 frames are supplied 'knocked-down' and are assembled by the contractor on the job-site (with assembly hardware provided). The 1250 series mail boxes are available in Natural Anodized aluminum (A), Gold Anodized aluminum (G) and Bronze Duranodic color (D) finishes. Simply add the letter to the end of the mail box (and frame) model number, to get the proper finish needed. For example, a 5 unit Gold anodized aluminum mail box would be called a model 12505G. For buildings with 15 or more mail receiving tenants, the Post Office requires that you install an alphabetical directory unit adjacent to these mail boxes. Also, when the mail boxes are installed behind a locked vestibule or entry door, the Post Office requires that you supply a key keeper, so the postal carrier can gain access to the mail boxes, without the need to be 'buzzed in' by a tenant. Contact us for more information on directories and key keepers, or check out the types available in this category section. |
